This is why I'm getting the Note 4.

This is why I'm keeping my iPhone 5; the last of the original iPhones IMO. :P

This is also why the roommate is upgrading from a 4S to either a 5S or 5C.

But all smartphones can bend, the older aluminum iPhones suffered from the same problems too, only that they didn't make news.

Google around and you'll see owners of aluminum Android phones having similar issues, but again, only the Apple product will make headlines.

Ironically, plastic smartphones are technically the best. They're more durable, they're flexible, typically more customizable, and there's no metal nonsense to hinder the antenna...

Humorously, the Note 3 has a plastic midframe while the Note 4 has a metal midframe.

However, the 3 has a 1080p screen and 2.3GHz CPU while the 4 is a 1440p screen and 2.7 GHz CPU.

Off-topic: One thing I've always found interesting is how Apple phones seem to have much slower processors, yet still be fast. I guess being able to run active background apps (Android) makes a big difference. Still, they could put faster chips in iPhones...

And that's all true about the Note phones. They could've made the 4's midframe plastic if they wanted to, but metal phones are such a big trend today...

Yeah. I'll be posting an Oppositelock review of the Note 4 to see how the metal frame holds up.
